A group of senior citizens from the Art Troupe of Tsinghua University Shanghai Alumni Association took to the stage at the talent show, Amazing Chinese, and has since gone viral online and touched the hearts of many audiences.

The elderly alumni, who're of one of China’s most distinguished universities, expressed passion for their motherland in a song, "I Love You China." The average age is 72.3, and the eldest member of the chorus is 87.

Among the scholars who have devoted all their lives to the development of China are Liu Xila, professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, who graduated in 1963, Cheng Bushi, designer of China’s first home-developed commercial airliner Shanghai Y-10 in the 1970's and is now in the expert panel for C919, and Zhang Lixing, a general who worked at the remote nuclear test site in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for decades after graduating from Tsinghua in 1965.
