The number of the COVID-19 cases have climbed to 61,049 in Tuekey after 4,093 new ones were reported in the last 24 hours, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Monday.
The death toll from the novel coronavirus in Turkey reached 1,296 after 98 more lost their lives over the past 24 hours, Koca tweeted.
Turkey conducted 34,456 tests in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests to 410,556, the minister noted.
A total of 3,957 patients have recovered, and 1,786 are still being treated at intensive care units, and 1,063 are intubated, he added.
On March 11, Turkey reported its first COVID-19 case.
