At least three people have been confirmed dead and 13 others wounded in a blast that rocked western edge of Kabul city, close to a political gathering on Friday, Afghan Public Health Ministry confirmed.
According to sources with the ministry, three dead bodies and 13 injured persons have been taken to hospitals in Kabul.
The blast occurred next to a political gathering on Darul Aman road at around 11:45 a.m. local time. Police have cordoned off the area and are not allowing journalists to get access to the site of the incident.
Meantime, an eyewitness on the condition of anonymity said he believed that the number of casualties was higher than reported.
