Asia Album: Livestock markets open in Pakistan before Eid al-Adha

ISLAMABAD, July 12 (Xinhua) -- A livestock market in Pakistani capital city Islamabad has opened amid the COVID-19 pandemic to meet local residents' demand for sacrificial animals, such as sheep, goats, cows and camels to celebrate the Eid al-Adha, also known as the "Feast of Sacrifice."

Pakistan's Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination has rolled out guidelines for the upcoming Eid al-Adha festival to curb the spread of COVID-19.

To date, Pakistan has confirmed 246,351 COVID-19 infections and 5,123 deaths.
