"Beijing2022: It's snowtime", a media cooperation campaign on reporting the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics in 2022 was launched in Beijing on Sunday. A media promotion cooperation agreement on reporting Beijing 2022 was signed at the ceremony.

Cai Qi, secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic organizing committee attended the ceremony. Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG); Chen Jining, mayor of Beijing and executive president of the Beijing 2022 organizing committee; Gou Zhongwen, head of the General Administration of Sports of China and executive president of the Beijing 2022 organizing committee as well as Zhang Haidi, chief of the China Disabled Persons' Federation and executive president of the Beijing 2022 organizing committee, all delivered speeches at the ceremony.

Shen called it CMG's duty and mission to report and publicize on the Beijing Winter Olympics. He promised that CMG will spare no details and constantly strive for perfection in making the best use of its "5G + 4K/8K + AI" media innovative application and getting more people access to watch the Winter Olympics in 8K Ultra High-Definition. "CMG will tell the best stories of Beijing Winter Olympics to the world and offer a colorful Olympic event to audience on earth," said Shen.

Chen is convinced that via the cooperation agreement with the Beijing 2022 organizing committee, CMG can exploit its advantage in media convergence and all media channels to promote the Winter Olympics. CMG's work will open a new chapter in the history of Olympic reporting and provide solid guarantee for the hosting of Beijing 2022.

Gou expressed his gratitude to CMG for its support for the sports industry of the country. He hopes that reaching the agreement will further cooperation between the General Administration of Sports and CMG in reporting Beijing 2022, displaying better Chinese image, spirit and strength.

Zhang praised CMG for its contributions to the country's progress in disability protection by drawing more social attention to the group. She called the Beijing Winter Paralympics an opportunity for China Disabled Persons' Federation to further facilitate the development of disability protection industry.
