Thousands in Paris, France, marched against the “Global Security Bill,” over the weekend. Parts of the mostly peaceful march turned violent when some smashed shop windows, set fire to cars and threw stones at police, according to The Guardian. Several other protests were organized across the country. Protesters and advocates say the new bill, article 24, would infringe on press freedom and make circulating images of police a crime.
