Millions around the world are worried about the spread of COVID-19 and the real risk it brings. Countries like Mexico are preparing for an outbreak, but worried about whether their institutions and protocols in place are adequate for containment.

We spoke with Dr. Alejandro Macias, who was the Mexican government's influenza commissioner during the 2009 H1N1 influenza outbreak, about Mexico's preparedness for COVID-19.
