APD | Huawei Forge Partnerships with 30 Industry Players

**MANILA, July 2 (APD) ** — Huawei and some 30 industry players established what is described as “alliance and innovation base” during the recently-concluded Mobile World Congress Shanghai.

In a statement about the events in Shanghai, it was learned the agreement is aimed at continuously seeking consensus on industry development and ecosystem building as well as accelerating the development of the 5G industry.

Deeper network service capabilities are the foundations of the 5G industry. “Huawei is the first in the industry to propose the idea of deterministic networking,” thus said Shi Jilin, President of the Huawei Cloud Core Network Product Line.

In her speech during the World Mobile Congress in Shanghai, Ms. Shi said “5G means more possibilities for a digitized industry.” She added 5G networks will provide a reliable, predictable network environment for industry applications to be at par with the industries’ requirements.

The latest alliance aims to unite industry partners to promote open collaboration among upstream and downstream and incubate best practices in various industry applications and promote healthy, sustainable development of industries.

Among the partners are China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom and the China Media Group, State Grid Jiangshu Electric Power Company and several others sharing their industry applications and practices and at the same time demonstrating a broad prospect and vitality of 5G applications in different industries.

According to Lin Yu Jie, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, future networks will provide users with tens of billions of cross-time-and-space, secure, and intelligent connections and services. Lin added these will become an indispensable part of social lives. The academician called on industry partners to build a platform founded in the 5G deterministic networking industry alliance and industry innovation base as well as collaborating with one another in order to explore a win-win business model. It will be recalled Huawei and more than 30 industry partners jointly attended the 5G deterministic network the alliance members underscored the opening of a chapter for 5G development as well as accelerate the commercial deployment if 5G industry applications.

MWC Shanghai 2019 was held from June 26-28 where Huawei presented its products and solutions at the sprawling Shanghai New International Exposition Center.
