China moves to promote health on school campuses

China's Ministry of Education has issued a circular on launching health campaigns in schools. The circular requires establishing school-based public health systems and improving public health emergency response mechanisms on campuses.

The ministry called for efforts to improve campus sanitation, including ensuring safe drinking water and strengthening disinfection and ventilation.

Health awareness should be promoted among students and teachers to improve their knowledge of epidemic prevention and control, the circular said.
