Brazil: Antibodies produced in equine serum help fight COVID-19

Brazil has a long tradition with research and production of medications using antibodies produced by horses injected with virus or toxins.

A serum rich in antibodies against the targeted disease can be made from their plasma.

Researchers hope this technology will prove to be an effective treatment against the novel coronavirus.
