APD | Cambodia to host 3rd Cambodia Travel Mart

**PHNOM PENH, May 28 (APD) ** - The 3rd Cambodia Travel Mart (CTM) is scheduled to take place in Sokha Phnom Penh hotel in mid-October where local and international buyers, suppliers, trade professionals, and media partners meet and exchange information on the latest tourism developments in Cambodia.

The event which will be held from 11-13 October is aimed to promote Cambodia and its regional tourism potential to the world by improving commercial relations in the tourism sector with international companies. It is also to create more package tours to Cambodia to maintain tourist growth, according to the press conference held on Thursday.

Thong Khon, Tourism Minister, said the CTM 2019 will also be the mechanism to strengthen the tourism cooperation and to push for tourism promotion within ASEAN and in the region.

“The CTM 2019 will is the best tourism business platform for exhibitors from different countries to promote their products and service, as well as to develop tourism business networking, business opportunities, Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said in a speech published in the press conference.

This year, the CTM expects to have 200 boots from 60 countries to exhibit their service with expected 6,000 participants.

Of the total exhibition, national tourism organization accounts 42 percent, hotel, and resorts at 32 percent, travel agency 14 percent, airline 10 percent, and the rest 2 percent.

For buyers from Asia is expected to account 66 percent, followed by 23 percent from Europe and the rest are from North America, Australia, and South America.
