One person was killed and 2 others injured by shootings on Tuesday night near Mjoelner Park in Copenhagen, city police said.

The police said on Twitter that one of the injured was in serious conditions.

A witness was quoted by local newspaper Extra Bladet as saying that about 20 shots were fired.

Since the early summer, Copenhagen has been plagued by a series of shootings, and some of them have taken place in and around the same park.

The police say the shootings are a result of collision among several local gangs that are mainly based in the area.

In mid-September, the police reported that about 50 people from the gangs had been imprisoned since the violent conflicts flared up in early summer.

The Copenhagen Police have since beefed up patrol around the area, and airplanes and helicopters are used to monitor the situation.

In addition, the police have established visitation zones in large parts of Copenhagen, where the police are given the right to check people without any real suspicions.
