5.8-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands region -- USGS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Kermadec Islands region at 09:46:46 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 27.6755 degrees south latitude and 174.9043 degrees west longitude.
