The Philippines beat Indonesia 4-0 in Hanoi on Tuesday to secure a place in the semi-finals at the 2014 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Football Federation (AFF) Championship.
The Philippines topped Group A with two straight wins so far. Vietnam defeated Laos 3-0 on Tuesday to rank second in Group A with four points after two matches. Indonesia is in third place with one point.
Vietnam will play the Philippines on Nov. 28. The host needs at least a draw to join the Philippines in the semi-finals.
The 2014 AFF Cup is being co-hosted by Vietnam and Singapore from Nov. 22 to Dec. 20. Vietnam hosts matches of Group A (Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Laos) while Group B (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar) games are being contested in Singapore.
