Themessagingplatform,withoveronebillionusers,alsorecentlycelebratedits7thbirthday.Thecompanyhadannouncedjoiningthe1-billionusersclubinearlyFebruarythisyear.

InFebruary2014,WhatsAppwasacquiredbysocialnetworkingsiteFacebook,itsbiggestbuyouttilldate,forawhoppingUSD19billion.InapostonFacebook,WhatsAppco-founderJanKoumsaid42billionmessagesweresent,1.6billionphotosand250millionvideossharedeverydayontheplatform.
