U.S. Senate confirms Marty Walsh as Labor secretary

The Senate confirmed Boston Mayor Marty Walsh as Labor secretary in a 68-29 vote on Monday, according to local media.

Walsh will head the Labor Department, at a time the pandemic has left millions unemployed and there are many concerns about workplace safety, the report said.
