Sweden's ATMs experience system failure again

All automatic teller machines (ATMs) run by the company Bankomat on Thursday experienced an around one-hour system failure due to alleged IT "central fault".

Bankomat, which operates some 2,200 ATMs across Sweden, suffered a similar accident just over two weeks ago.

"They have had a key error that has affected us," the Swedish Daily Dagens Nyheter quoted Bankomat's marketing manager Johan Nilsson as saying, referring to the company's IT supplier.

"Our stop has been limited to one hour, but our goal is so clear that costumers should always be able to withdraw cash and do not be afraid that it will out of order again," said Nilsson.
