Vietnam orders nationwide social distancing against COVID-19

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Tuesday ordered a 15-day nationwide social distancing against COVID-19 starting from Wednesday, requiring people to stay at home, keep a distance of at least 2 meters from others and avoid gatherings of more than two people.

According to the order, from 0:00 a.m. on Wednesday, everybody can only go out for necessary reasons such as buying food and medicine or in emergency cases.

State agencies and units are also required to facilitate public servants and employees to work at home as more as possible, except for absolutely necessary cases.

Vietnam has confirmed 204 COVID-19 cases, of whom 55 have recovered, with no deaths from the disease reported so far.
