The United States heads into the final days of the 2020 Presidential election under new clouds from the coronavirus epidemic.

President Donald Trump is pressing ahead with rallies in key states despite record caseloads in many areas and a new outbreak in the White House.

Now a senior aide tries to walk back comments that have alarmed health officials.
