Afghans observe Ramazan or month of fast

The people of Afghanistan like Muslims in other countries observe Ramazan or fasting month from Monday during which they do not eat and drink from dawn to dusk.

Following the Saudi Arabia kingdom, the Afghan Supreme Court, announced Monday as the first day of Ramadan.

The first day of Ramadan is public holiday during which public and private offices are closed and majority of shops and shopping malls remained closed.

Ramadan or fasting month lasts 28, 29 or 30 days depends on sighting the moon.

The last day of Ramadan is Eidul Fitr, which is the second annual religious festival, and Muslims across the world observe the day with solemnity.
