Lady Gaga canceled a performance in Montreal, Canada, Monday night after performing in a torrential rainstorm a week ago Tuesday at New York City's Citi Field.

"To my beautiful fans. I couldn't be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight. I sing this entire show live, and pride myself in giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through," Gaga tweeted Monday evening, posting a black-and-white photo of herself looking sick and forlorn.

The Grammy winner added, "I am so sorry to anyone who had their heart set on seeing me tonight. I love you. Xoxo, Joanne."

Two hours later the singer, who was already in Montreal, tweeted that she was sending free pizza to fans who had gathered outside her hotel.

A message from the show's promoters said, "Hoping not to disappoint her fans, Lady Gaga took today to rest but unfortunately, has now been instructed by her doctor that she will need to reschedule this evening's show due to respiratory infection and laryngitis." The message notes that the show will be rescheduled and advises fans to hold onto their tickets.

There is no word yet on the fate of other upcoming Gaga dates. The next scheduled shows on Gaga's Joanne World Tour are set for Toronto on Wednesday and Thursday.
