Night of violence against Syrians in Turkey's capital

Men smashed up shops and homes believed to be owned by Syrian families during an unrest in the Turkish capital of Ankara. The violence started after a fight between locals and migrants ended with Turkish national being stabbed to death.

The Ankara police said they had detained 76 people who were either suspected of involvement in the violence or of disseminating incendiary social media posts. Police reportedly used teargas to disperse the crowds.
