Around 13000 people gathered at British landmark Stonehenge in Wiltshire in celebration of the summer solstice throughout Tuesday night.

Singing to the stars and reveling until the break of dawn, people chose to welcome the spiritual moment at Stonehenge because they believe the prehistoric site was built to record the sun's movement.

The annual Stonehenge summer solstice festival spanned from Sunday to Wednesday this year. Live entertainment and delicious feasts were offered, with the event drawing to a close at the sunrise on solstice.
