At least 25 rebels were killed Sunday when a blast rocked their position in Syria's northwestern province of Idlib, activists said.

The blast rocked a position of the Turkey-backed Ahrar al-Sham Movement in Idlib province, activists cited the group as stating.

According to the statement, the blast targeted the group's position in the town of Tal Tukan, east of the city of Sarqeb, in Idlib countryside.

Ahrar al-Sham accused the Islamic State (IS) group of carrying out the bombing.

The group stressed that their war against the IS militants will continue until "eradicating it."
