A cultural event entitled "Me China," organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), concluded here on Tuesday, the embassy said.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the People's Republic of China and BiH. The collection of cultural works for the event began in mid-January and lasted until April 3, and the program received a warm response from the public in BiH. Despite the coronavirus outbreak, turnout was impressive.

According to the embassy, the participants in the event ranged in age between 12 and 70 years. The program included essays, video screenings, songs, word search puzzles and paintings. The top ten works selected by a jury were subsequently posted on the embassy's Facebook page, and the locals could select the final winners by "liking" their favorites.

The winning essay, entitled "The Adventure of China," was written by a girl named Danijela Misic. Her observations and reflections on China offer a lively and interesting read. Nikola Zobenica's painting entitled "Dragon China" and Dzana Cisic's Chinese song "Floating to the North" won second and third prizes, respectively.
