Vestas, one of the world's largest wind turbines manufacturers, appreciates local government's efforts in helping companies resume work and production, according to Vestas China President Thomas Keller.
In 2016, the Danish company built its largest integrated manufacturing complex in Tianjin, a city near Beijing, which is now playing a significant role in Vestas' global supply chain.
"Our people are returning back to offices. I want to express my thanks to the local government for a very strong and collaborative approach on the ramp-up happening in a safe control manner. It's been a testament of true collaboration," he said.
The president stressed that Vestas will do its utmost to get production in China back on track, in order to support a quicker recovery of the Chinese economy.
"Denmark has had strong ties with the Chinese people for more than 70 years," he mentioned, further explaining that Vestas, like many Danish businesses, has decided to make donation for the purchase of medical supplies "to support the fighting against the virus in Wuhan."
"In Denmark, we have a saying: 'Adversity makes you stronger.' I truly feel a united China being ready for the fight against this horrible and unfair disease," he said, adding that the Chinese people are demonstrating their resilience and solidarity when they stand in times of crisis.
"Please accept my humble thanks and warm wishes for a speedy recovery and the encouragement to all the fighting people of Wuhan and China. The fighting is not over, but I'm sure that if we stay united, we will overcome this big challenge," Keller told CGTN.
