Sting to perform at Bataclan's reopening
British musician Sting has announced that he will perform at the Saturday reopening of the Bataclan, almost a year to the day after a terrorist attack at the Paris concert hall killed 90 people.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to Life for Paris and 13onze15, organisations that provide support to victims of the attacks and their families.
The Bataclan, which has been refurbished after suffering extensive damage in the assault, unveiled a new facade last month. The venue announced earlier this year that it planned to reopen this month, with concerts by artists including another British performer, Pete Doherty.
Neil Young relents on streaming
Folk rock icon Neil Young has relented and returned his music to leading streaming sites, a year after declaring that the fast-growing format was grating to his ears.
His vast catalogue, including his latest album, Earth, was available as of last Friday on sites such as Spotify and Apple Music. He had previously streamed his music only on Tidal, the service led by rap mogul Jay Z, that boasts of higher-quality audio files.
