Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said Hong Kong's constitutional reform package will be revealed on Wednesday, driving the society a step closer to its historic goal.

Speaking at a press briefing, Leung said electing the chief executive through "one man, one vote" has been the wish of the central government, members of public in Hong Kong and himself. He hoped it would gain support from the society and members of the Legislative Council so as to realize the universal suffrage.

Leung stressed that the reform package conforms to the Basic Law, the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People 's Congress and the wish of members of public in Hong Kong.
