China to take 'necessary measures' to safeguard its rights, interests

China will take "necessary measures" to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said Sunday.

The ministry expressed strong opposition to Washington's inclusion of 23 Chinese firms on the "entity list," describing the move as "unreasonable suppression" and "a serious breach of international economic and trade rules."
