Protests spread across Ecuador due to food and fuel shortages

Protests broke out across Ecuador over shortages of food and fuel, and the rising cost of living. On Wednesday, protesters marched through Quito, demanding a fuel price cut and more time for farmer loan repayments. On Tuesday, one protester died and six officers were seriously injured.
