Chinese mainland reports 111 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 111 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 83 being local transmissions and 28 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Wednesday.

In addition, 30 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 498 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 94,080, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,019 (11,728 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 63 (57 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,798 (13,103 recoveries, 814 deaths)
