An evacuation was conducted in an airport in northern Norway on Sunday morning after possible explosives were found in luggage.

The Bodoe Airport, which is located in the northern Norwegian county of Nordland, was evacuated after a grenade-like object in a luggage at the security checkpoint at about 9:30 a.m. local time (0730 GMT), reported the Norwegian news agency NTB, quoting a report by the local newspaper Avisa Nordland.

"All at the airport are now heading out of the airport area," said Geir Haaland, a police officer for the Salten police district.
