Lotuses bloom after summer rain in Beijing

A day before theMajor Heat solar term, lotuses in Beijing's Lianhuachi Park are in vibrant bloom after a bout of summer rain.

Lianhuachi Park in west Beijing's Fengtai District, more than 1,000 years old, is home to over 300 species of lotus which become a must-see attraction in full bloom every summer.
