Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen once again warned on Monday that a civil war would erupt if the main opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) wins in the 2018 election.

His warning came after CNRP's president Sam Rainsy has recently sent a political message that the party would create an independent court to prosecute crooked business people after the party wins the next election.

"Business people were threatened that there would be a court to prosecute them," Hun Sen said during a graduation ceremony in Phnom Penh. "Internal war will definitely break out, it must break out."

In the last election in 2013, Hun Sne's Cambodian People's Party won 68 seats against 55 seats for the CNRP in the 123-seat National Assembly. Enditem
