Norway has started to reopen its pre-schools as the country gradually eased the lockdown imposed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite a mixed response from parents, the authorites assured that going to school was safe since children are less likely to fall sick if they contract the virus.

"Going to pre-school is safe," said Guri Melby, the country's education minister.

Certain health protocals, however, need to be followed. For instance, children under the age of three will have to be in groups of three under one adult's supervision. Those between three and six years of age can stay in groups of six.
