Cambodia conducts fire-fighting exercise

C at the complex of the capital's Olympic Stadium with an aim of enhancing the capacity of firefighters.

"The exercise will increase the capacity and skills for the firefighters, so they will be more capable to rescue people in case of any fire," Phnom Penh municipal firefighting police Chief Prum Yot told reporters at the event.

French experts also shared their skills and expertise during the half-day exercise, which took part by dozens of Cambodian firemen, he said.

According to Prum Yot, since the start of this year until now, 105 cases of fires have happened in Phnom Penh, leaving five people dead and two others injured.
