A Russian Yak-130 crashed during flight training on Thursday but the two persons on board ejected successfully, the Defense Ministry said.

The jet crashed around 9:40 a.m. Moscow time (0640 GMT) in the city of Borisoglebsk due to technical malfunctioning.

The instructor and the cadet ejected from the aircraft and landed safely. Since the plane fell in an unpopulated area, there were no casualties.
