India’s Prime Minister concludes his visit to the US

NEW DELHI, June 27 (APD): Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his visit to the US, inviting President Donald Trump to India on Monday.

According to a statement released by the White House, The US President accepted Prime Minister Modi's invitation to visit India.

On the topic, India's Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar said, "Yes, President Trump has accepted PM's invitation to visit India". Prime Minister Modi also invited President Trump's daughter Ivanka to lead the US delegation in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, which will be held in India later this year.

Through a tweet, Ivanka Trump said, “Thank you, Prime Minister Modi, for inviting me to lead the U.S. delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India this fall.”

In a statement, President Trump said "During my campaign, I pledged that if elected, India would have a true friend in the White House. And that is now exactly what you have - a true friend."

He also appreciated Prime Minister Modi's efforts for launching the Goods and Services Tax (GST) terming the development as the "largest tax overhaul in India's history".

Modi responded by adding, “We consider the USA as our primary partner for India's social and economic transformation in all our flagship programs and schemes."
