China appoints Wang Wentao as new minister of commerce

The 24th session of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) on Saturday adopted a decision to appoint Wang Wentao as the new minister of commerce, Chen Xiaojiang as the new head of theNational Ethnic Affairs Commission and Tang Renjian as the new minister of agriculture and rural affairs.

The Standing Committee of the 13th NPC started its 24th session Tuesday to review multiple draft laws and law revisions.
