Group hug helps overcome U.S. election bitterness in San Francisco

As some protest the election of Donald Trump as president, one group in San Francisco comes together for a giant hug in hopes of overcoming the election bitterness. Diane Hodges reports.

While some were protesting Donald Trump's election as president, others were trying to put the bitterness of the campaign behind them. One group in San Francisco decided they needed a giant hug.

SARAH WHEELER, SAYING: "Human connection and togetherness is how we are going to survive and come together and we just wanted to move toward that direction as opposed to venting anger and burning things in the street this is a bit more positive way to express our togetherness."

Organizers didn't have an estimate of how many people turned out, but said there was no shortage of warm and fuzzy feelings.
