Chinese medical team heads to Ethiopia to battle COVID-19

A medical team consisting of 12 experts departed for Ethiopia from Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province Thursday to join in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

The experts are from hospitals in Sichuan and the provincial disease control and prevention center.

"The pandemic knows no borders. We will lose no time to learn about the epidemic situation in Ethiopia, share experience in fighting the pandemic with local counterparts and promote bilateral cooperation in the medical and health fields," said Zeng Yong, the team leader.
