Political party leaders from around the world have spoken positively of China's progress in combating the novel coronavirus in messages sent to the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Mongolian Prime Minister and chairman of the ruling Mongolian People's Party Ukhnaa Khurelsukh said China's strong measures against the virus has won praise globally, which fully reflects China's role as a responsible major country and its tremendous overall strength.

At this moment, Mongolia, as a neighboring country and China's comprehensive strategic partner, is offering firm support to China, said Khurelsukh.

He voiced confidence in China defeating the epidemic at an early date under the strong leadership of the CPC and with the united efforts of the Chinese people, hoping bilateral trade and people-to-people exchanges will return to normal as the situation improves.

Suchart Tancharoen of Thailand's Palang Pracharath Party and first deputy House speaker noted in his message that according to recent statistics, the recovery rate of the disease in China has considerably exceeded its case fatality rate, and the speed of patients' recovery also improved dramatically.

Such uplifting progress is a strong testimony to the effectiveness of the prevention and control measures taken by the Chinese government, he said, adding that his party believes China will soon win the battle against the epidemic and be able to help other countries prevent and control the spread of the virus.

General Secretary of the Party of Independence and Labour in Senegal Samba Sy said he highly appreciates Chinese President Xi Jinping's swift decision-making and the great courage shown by the CPC in leading the Chinese people to bravely combat the virus.

He expressed his belief that the CPC could draw strength from China's thousands of years of civilization and lead the Chinese people to a final victory in fighting the epidemic.

He called on countries to provide China with all the necessary support to tackle this public health emergency.

Noting that China has the capacity to get through the current crisis and protect the safety and health of the Chinese people, Moroccan Prime Minister Saadeddine El Othmani, also the leader of the Justice and Development Party, said China will soon resume its economic and social development.

Mohamed Diane, executive secretary of RPG (Guinean People's Assembly)-Rainbow alliance, said the Guinean people have gone through the Ebola epidemic and have empathy for the current situation in China.

Noting that the Guinean people will always keep in mind the valuable support and generous help China offered in the fight against the Ebola disease, Diane said he believes the Chinese people will no doubt win the fight against the epidemic.

Rached Ghannouchi, president of Tunisia's Ennahdha party and the Tunisian parliament, applauded the rapid and effective measures that China has taken to control the spread of the epidemic.

He also expressed his firm belief that under the leadership of Xi, the CPC and the Chinese government will emerge victoriously and the Chinese economy and society will continue to develop.

Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, chairman of Mexico's Labor Party, said that the actions taken by the Chinese government to protect its people have not only set a model for fighting against epidemics but also illustrate a sense of responsibility for other nations.

Therefore, all disparaging remarks and discriminative actions against China are unacceptable, he said, adding that various countries should join hands to face the public health crisis together.
