At least one person was killed and 11 others were injured after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake jolted the Greek island of Lesbos on Monday afternoon.
The epicenter of the quake was located some 84 km northwest of the Aegean coastal province of Izmir, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said on its website.
Tremors were felt in Istanbul and Athens. Several buildings on Lesbos were severely damaged.
