Hong Kong can serve as bridge between U.S. companies, mainland market

Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying met the visiting Secretary of the Treasury of the United States Jacob Lew at Government House here Tuesday to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Leung said Hong Kong and the U.S. enjoy close economic and trade ties. Hong Kong, being an international financial and trade center, can act as a "super-connector" for U.S. enterprises to connect with the market in the Chinese mainland to open up more business opportunities.

Leung said he hopes that Hong Kong and the U.S. could continue to maintain exchanges and co-operation on various fronts.
