Man held for setting fire to magazine on Japan's Shinkansen bullet train

A man was held by the police for setting fire to a magazine in a Shinkansen bullet train in Okayama, western Japan on Friday, local media reported.

The man, in his 70s, put a magazine on his seat on a Shinkansen Mizuho 615 train and set fire to it around 11:00 a.m. local time, said local reports.

The fire was put out by other passengers on the train and no one was hurt, said the reports.

The train stopped at the Okayama Station, and passengers were shifted to other trains.
