3 CNPC senior executives under probe

Three senior executives of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Asia's largest oil and gas producer, are now under investigation over suspected "serious violation of disciplines", the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) said on Tuesday.

The executives being investigated are Li Hualin, deputy general manager of CNPC, Ran Xinquan, vice president of PetroChina Company Ltd., and Wang Daofu, chief geologist of PetroChina, the SASAC said in a statement on its website.

The Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China confirmed on Monday that Wang Yongchun, vice general manager of CNPC, is being investigated over suspected "serious violation of disciplines".
