M5.7 earthquake hits NW China’s Xinjiang

A magnitude-5.7 earthquake has hit Kuqa county in northwestern China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at a depth of 6 km, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The earthquake struck at 6:11 p.m. local time on Saturday. As of now, no casualties and damage have been reported.
