Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that he had accepted an invitation to visit Pyongyang.
Lavrov told reporters after meeting with Ri Yong Ho, Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), in Moscow that no decisions had been made on talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the DPRK's top leader Kim Jong Un.
The two sides also exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation and the situation on the Korean Peninsula during the meeting.

Lavrov said Russia welcomed the gradual normalization of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and supported contact between the DPRK and the US.
Ri arrived in Moscow on Monday for a three-day visit. This comes ahead of planned summits between the DPRK's top leader Kim Jong Un and the presidents of the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the US in the coming weeks.
