Founded in 2007, Suzhou Ballet has presented three different style of ballet at the National Center for the Performing Arts and Beijing Tianqiao Theater. This time, Suzhou Ballet will complete a total of five performances in a short period of 10 days from December 31, 2021 to January 8, 2022 ."The Festival of Spring" and "My Name is Lilac" are produced by Suzhou New Times Culture & Sports Exhibition Group and Suzhou Ballet Company. "My Name is Lilac" will also be the opening performance of "Meet Beijing" Olympic Cultural Festival, the 22nd "Meet Beijing" International art Festival and "Meet Beijing Meet Jiangnan" Suzhou Culture and Art Exhibition week.

In many Western countries, ballet is a very mainstream and highly accepted cultural form. From the perspective of cultural communication, General Secretary Xi has stressed the importance of telling China's stories well and shaping China's image. Personally, I think people from different countries and regions may have differences in language, living habits, beliefs and world outlook, but their understanding of human nature is very similar. The play "My Name is Lilac" portrays the characters from the perspective of people themselves, which is a great love and people all over the world can feel this emotion. Moreover, we have invited internationally active composers to arrange the music, and the music is very appealing. Many members of the visual design team have studied abroad, which can play a role of cultural bridge. We hope this will pave the way for us to go abroad and tell Chinese stories in an international language."
