Tell good Chinese stories and spread Jiangnan culture

In the past two years, although Suzhou Ballet has been unable to perform internationally due to the epidemic, They still takes telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese culture as her priority task. From repertory production and creation, to art communication and public welfare popularization activities, Suzhou Ballet always hopes to show the artistic style of Chinese ballet and the endless charm of Jiangnan culture through their unremitting efforts.

Wang Quanxing said: Such as "my name is lilac, we chose a Chinese story with foreign music fusion, hope that through common emotion, art blend, let the audience at home and abroad to better appreciate and feel the ballet with national spirit."

Wang Yabin, director and choreographer of My Name is Lilac, a national first-class actor and famous dancer, said in an interview with the Asia Pacific Daily, "From the perspective of dance, as a body language, ballet can transcend language barriers and cross the gap of different cultural backgrounds. In many Western countries, ballet is a very mainstream and highly accepted cultural form. From the perspective of cultural communication, General Secretary Xi has stressed the importance of telling China's stories well and shaping China's image. Personally, I think people from different countries and regions may have differences in language, living habits, beliefs and world outlook, but their understanding of human nature is very similar. The play "My Name is Lilac" portrays the characters from the perspective of people themselves, which is a great love and people all over the world can feel this emotion. Moreover, we have invited internationally active composers to arrange the music, and the music is very appealing. Many members of the visual design team have studied abroad, which can play a role of cultural bridge. We hope this will pave the way for us to go abroad and tell Chinese stories in an international language."

In 2022, while completes the new creation, Suzhou Ballet will also invite domestic and foreign first-class artists gathered in suzhou, focus on building "2022 the first suzhou international ballet art festival", through the fine performance, performance communication, play a variety of forms such as after the discussion, let the audience can close to feel richer, more diverse ballet art, play a positive role for the cultural exchanges between China and western countries.

In the process of continuous innovation and improvement, in the works with muscles and bones, temperature, atmosphere of The Times, and spiritual connotation, Suzhou Ballet has always adhered to cultural innovation, strengthened cultural confidence, and danced with the "Chinese style" of ballet on the toe, making the "Jiangnan Ballet" shine.
