Indonesia authorities Monday have raised their volcano alert to level 4, the highest in the warning system, as the country’s Mount Agung erupted for the second time in a week.

The authorities have ordered people within 10 kilometers to leave.

The ash column from Mount Agung rose 1,500 meters following an eruption that began at about 5:30 p.m. local time Saturday and has continued for several hours, said Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency.
